CAT THINGS
They are not twins though these Siberian cats
are related. You could say they’re a chip off the old block,
of nephrite jade. To be absolutely truthful though, they didn’t
come from the same litter. One is older, more mature and very slightly
larger [both are about 2” long x 1” high], which
is just as well. He tends to bear more of the weight when they
play. And they do like to play. They need names which I never
gave them, though over time I’ve supplied them with quite
a few toys. To begin with, the base is Portoro Macchia fine black
Italian marble (about 6.5” x 3.25”). The fine in
the name refers to the color pattern not the quality. In that
marble is a round well where the cats have lots of toys to fool
with. There are five Australian opal doublets [(1)13mm long,
(3)10mm (1)8mm] mounted on clear quartz for strength, two Australian
chrysoprase
domed cabochons [(1) both approx 10mm long], and one Tigereye
[12mm] for extra catness. There is also a ball of Brazilian Citrine,
[10mm round] probably heat treated since natural citrine is rare.
There is also a cube of pink chalcedony [10mm sq.] which came
from Nevada. If you like odd, it's a chalcedony that replaced
wood so it's a clear pink petrified wood with a little
white grain. Other cat stones are a New Hampshire smoky quartz
window [about 1” long] which has a silver tone rather than
the traditional brown, a cushion of Brazilian angel hair rutillated
quartz [about 1”], a quartz column [about 1.5”] and
a very red jaspagate tower [about 1”]. Jaspagate is a blend
of jasper and agate. All of these stones may be used by the cats
and if you're very lucky, they will let you play with them.
Price: $4500.
